A Desert Goddess: New Mexico Maternity Portraits

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a dear friend Savanna and her beautiful 37 week baby bump!

After practicing social distancing for an entire year, it was so nice to get back to work and see a familiar face. I’m sure that everyone in New Mexico can relate to that feeling right about now (what a wild ride 2020 was, right?!).

We chose the wide open golden desert grassland behind my home as our location. What I like best about this location is that it’s easily accessible, clients can park safely at my house, there’s not a lot of walking required, and it absolutely glows with golden light in the evenings, making the Manzano Mountains glow purple. Savanna is a natural beauty, but she is absolutely glowing with her beautiful bump.

Congratulations, Savana! You are a goddess! I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby girl!
