Valencia County Animal Shelter Adoptable Dogs - April 2022

Once per month, Cheyenne Chavez Photography photographs adoptable dogs at the Valencia County Animal Shelter.

As a mobile pet studio located in Valencia County, we know first-hand the struggles that many rural and semi-rural shelters face, and we want to help out as much as we can. Because a shelter dog’s photo can make or break its chances at adoption, we want to ensure that every dog we photograph gets the red-carpet treatment and professional quality photographs, just like we would create for our own dogs. They deserve at least that much!

The staff and volunteers at this shelter work tirelessly to help these dogs in every way they can, and it is always an amazing experience to work with them.

This month’s dogs are extra sweet. Every single one of them had a calm and sweet demeanor that we just know will make them excellent companions! We also noticed that there seemed to be a quite a few pure-bred dogs in the shelter this time around, including a blue heeler, mini aussie, and a rottweiler.

The Valencia County Animal Shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5pm. Adoption fees are $15 for spayed/neutered dogs and $150 for intact dogs (adoption fees cover all necessary vaccines, medical care, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery).

If you have space in your pack for one of these sweethearts, go pay a visit to the shelter and tell them we sent you!
(And if you adopt one, please reach out so we can send you a copy of their photo!)
